Wreck It Ralph: Movie Review

Warning! May contain traces of awesomeness and spoilers! Read at your own risk! :)
Released: 2012
Rated: U
Stars: ★★★★★  This is awesome!
Genre: Family-comedy
Movie description: Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) goes against his antagonist role in an arcade game to pursue his dream of being a hero. He wins a medal in a shooting game and puts his game in jeopardy of being unplugged. Fix-It Felix Jr. (Jack McBrayer) goes on a search to find Ralph.
Ralph crash-lands into another arcade game, Sugar Rush (a kart-racing game) with a Cy-Bug that can take it over. Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) goes to stop the Cy-Bug.
Ralph meets Vanellope (Sarah Silverman), who is disliked by other racers as they think she's a glitch. She enters a race using Ralph's medal. Despite this, Ralph befriends Vanellope and helps her race.
King Candy (Alan Tudyk) hacks the game. He  gives Ralph his medal and says Vanellope shouldn't race for her own good. Ralph stops her racing for her safety. Returning to his game, he realises she was supposed to be in Sugar Rush.
Ralph helps Vanellope get back into the race and Vanellope's glitching exposes King Candy's true identity: Turbo, an old arcade character who demolished a newer game because he was envious of its popularity.
Sugar Rush is infested by Cy-Bugs. Calhoun says they can stop the Cy-Bugs by attracting them to a light beacon. Ralph creates an explosion that kills the Cy-Bugs, and  Turbo, who was eaten by a Cy-Bug and merged into it
Vanellope restores the game's memory and is the game's leader.  Felix and Calhoun get married. Ralph is loved by the characters in his game it isn't unplugged.
Why I liked this movie: it was conflicting and exciting: you didn't know who was good and who was bad. You didn't know what character's side you were on. I also like how they made the main characters (Ralph, Felix, Vanellope and Calhoun) look like the voice actors. That looked pretty awesome!
What could make it better?: I think they could make popular characters from the promos and the start of the film (ie - Sonic and Bowser) make more appearances during the film. I also think that the film could have seen a character die outside their game and make it game over, but they could somehow come back to life with a special video game weapon.
Another movie review for you guys! I hope you loved this one :D
More soon! xoxo

Wrestlemania 29 Preview!

Coming up this Sunday April 7th 2013...WWE's largest pay-per-view showcase: Wrestlemania. This year marks the 29th anniversary and the 29th time the stakes are high for WWE Superstars on "The Grandest Stage Of Them All."

The main wrestling bouts and stipulations...
Wade Barrett vs The Miz
Intercontinental Championship, Interactive Preshow
Wade Barrett defends his title against The Miz during the interactive preshow.
Chris Jericho vs Fandango
Fandango's finally making his debut at Wrestlemania. Both Chris Jericho and Fandango are battling it out after Fandango's continuously ambushed Jericho and Jericho simply "couldn't pronounce his name correctly." By the end of it all, will Fandango have made his debut a disaster? Or will Jericho have finally learnt to pronounce his name?
Mark Henry vs Ryback
After each of them trying to prove that they are stronger than the other, they are both put to the test in a match this Sunday. Who will come out of Wrestlemania victorious?
The shield vs Randy Orton, Sheamus and The Big Show
6-man tag team match
Orton, Sheamus and Show join forces to take on "a common enemy" that is The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins). The Big Show has earned Sheamus' Trust after a harsh long-term feud involving the World Heavyweight Championship.
Will The Big Show, Sheamus and Randy Orton work as a cohesive unit together to defeat their common enemy this Sunday?
CM Punk vs The Undertaker
The Undertaker's streak
The Undertaker's 20-0 streak is on the cards once again. CM Punk has interrupted Undertaker countless times and has also stolen his sacred urn (for which people believe gives Taker his powers). Is CM Punk at an advantage? Will he get the better of The Undertaker and become the 1 in 20-1? Or will The Undertaker keep his streak in tact and go to 21-0?
Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston vs Team Hell No
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Team Hell No (Kane and Daniel Bryan) put their championships on the line against the team  of Ziggler and Langston. This is the first official match we will see "The Powerhouse" Big E Langston in. Will Team Hell No prevail and get a victory over Dolph and Big E?
Triple H vs Brock Lesnar
No Holds Barred, Triple H's career on the line
Triple H was defeated by Lesnar last Summerslam. Eviscerating The Game's closest friends and family (more recently The Chairman Vince McMahon), Triple H "found a reason" to go head to head with Brock Lesnar once again this Sunday, only this time on a much larger scale: HHH's career has been put on the line. Will Triple H say goodbye to the WWE? Or will he get retribution over Lesnar?
Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Their rivalry is brutal. As Swagger injured both Del Rio and his friend Ricardo Rodriguez, Swagger also had his mind set on Del Rio's championship. With Zeb Colter at ringside and the hopes of an all-new America, will "we the people" see a new World Heavyweight Champion? Or will Del Rio defend the championship successfully against his rival?
John Cena vs The Rock
WWE Championship Match, Main Event

After Cena won the Royal Rumble, he chose to fight for the WWE Championship, even though he didn't know if he would fight CM Punk (the reigning champion during the Royal Rumble), or The Rock (number 1 contender at the time). Punk lost the title to the Rock, thus meaning he would go on to face John Cena at the main event at this year's Wrestlemania. When they clash this time, who will win this bout? Will the odds be against Cena again, with Rock getting the victory?

So, who do you think will win the matches at this year's Wrestlemania? Be sure to send in your comments on who you want to win!

Let Me In: Movie Review!

Spoiler alert! There are spoilers in this movie review and traces of awesomeness. Read at your own risk 8)
Released: 2010
Rated: 15
Stars:   This is awesome!
Genre: Horror
Let Me In Movie Poster
Movie Description: Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) lives an unhappy life because he is the constant victim of the high school bullies. He makes friends with Abby (Chloë Grace Mortez) without the knowledge that she is actually a vampire. Even though Abby explains to Owen that they can't be friends, they still end up doing so. She advises him to stand up for himself against the school bullies, which he does (ending with harsh consequences towards the end of the film).
Abby's caretaker (Richard Jenkins) dies after trying to take blood to feed Abby. He undergoes a car crash and burns acid over his face so nobody can trace his DNA to Abby.
Shortly after, Owen learns Abby is a vampire after she drinks blood from his finger - he slits it with a knife so they can make a pact. Even though Owen was unsure of whether to trust Abby at first, he comes to terms with her secret.
At the end of the film, the consequences of Owen standing up for himself earlier are brutal: the bullies try to make him drown in the swimming pool, but Abby saves Owen with her vampire abilities by killing them. Owen goes away with Abby so they can protect each other from the problems they endured.
What I think: this movie was a great horror: it was sad, but gory while making you want to cry. The combination of these made Let Me In a great movie with the perfect balance of everything a horror movie should have.
Why it's different from vamp cliches: it's a mixture of traditional vampire horror while adding modern aspects to the film. Unlike modern day vampire movies such as Twilight, it's an original take on vampire movies.
What could make it better?: I think that the movie could have a sequel explaining Abby's backstory in full. In the movie, it explains part of her backstory, but another movie on her life before she met Owen would make the movie even better.

I hope you enjoyed my latest movie review! Next blog post coming soon!
